EAW Ministries often receives e-mails, FB messages, and other inquiries about weight loss, including what diet plans to choose, suggestions about food to eat or abstain from, etc. The answer is always the same. EAW Ministries doesn't advocate one diet plan over another except to say that fad diets, liquid diets, miracle pills, etc. should be avoided at all costs. There several reasons why we don't tell people what to eat to be healthy.  First and foremost, God commands that we don’t.  In 1 Timothy 4:1-5, says that it teaching others to abstain from eating certain foods for spiritual purposes is to instruct them in the doctrines of demonic and deceiving spirits.

Second, it’s our assignment to teach you the Biblical principles so that the Holy Spirit can renew your mind, which is where true change takes place.  Although we do not give instructions on WHAT to eat, we do teach participants HOW to eat as an act of worship.  However, this does not occur until nearly the end of the 12-week course because you must first learn WHY you must eat as an act of worship in order to permanently change your unhealthy lifestyle.  Otherwise, it would be just another fad diet that only works for a moment because the root of your weight problem hasn't been alleviated.

Lastly, we don’t tell people what diet and weight loss program to follow because each person is unique.  Consequently, there is no one size fits all diet plan.  You must pray to the One who fearfully and wonderfully made you to direct you to the plan that's right for you!  The various recipes and diet plans referenced on our Facebook page are intended to give you a starting point as you learn about what's available.  As you seek God's will, trust that He will provide what you’re praying for, then DO YOUR PART!  If you don’t know what that means, let me explain.

Your part is to put into practice what God's Word teaches about your body, dieting, exercising, and maintaining a healthy body by eating and drinking for His glory as you put into practice the diet and weight lost plan He has revealed to you.  By doing so, you prove your love and devotion to Him by being obedient to His commands (John 14:21).  When you honor God with your body in this way, He does His part by opening the door to permanent and sustained weight loss, deliverance from eating disorders, increased health, and better physical fitness.  Choose to do your part today and walk through the door that leads to the Promised Land of Healthy and Fit for Life!
